Episode 15: A Practice for the Weary at Christmas
This time of year can leave us feeling weak and weary. There's a lot to do, and our souls can feel heavy and overwhelmed.
In this week's episode, I'm sharing a simple practice that can help you keep going, plus a verse that is giving me hope in the weary moments.
This Week’s Practice: Reflection for the Weak and Weary
Spend some time reflecting on these questions:
- Am I feeling weak or weary?
- What am I carrying right now?
- Grab a piece of paper and make a list of everything on your mind, both the big things and the small to-dos (see episode 3 to learn more on the practice of download).
- Read and reflect on this verse from Isaiah 40:29: "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak."
- Give everything on your list to God, and ask for HIS strength and power before you move forward.
