If you’ve ever tried to keep a gratitude journal or list, but struggled to keep up with it, this episode is for you. Maybe gratitude is less about a list, and more about simply paying attention to what’s right in front of us.

In this episode, we’ll talk about how to simply be present as a way of practicing gratitude.

This Week’s Practice: A Prayer of Gratitude For Your RIght-Now Life

  • Start by simply looking around so that you can be present to the place you actually are. What do you see?

  • Name what is true about this season, the tangible people and activities that make up your life.

  • As you visualize your life in your mind, simply express your gratitude to God for what you see.

  • Notice any pull you feel towards the past or the future, and name those feelings in the presence of God. Ask Him to help you stay present to your life as it is right now.

  • Thank God that no matter what is going on in your life, He is right there with you in it.
